Life sustaining stories
Not all stories are healthy. Stories that help us are called life sustaining. We want to live in them and in order to do that we have to thicken our preferred identities. Material covered include Life Story Interviews and Motivational Interviewing but only to the degree that supports Narrative Therapy ideas. The rest of the material comes from Freedman & Combs, on Narrative Therapy.
INTRODUCTION
This course is tied to the group by the same name. In the group and its forums students can discuss what they have learned, or reflect as they go along. Prescribed material can be located in the first lesson. Not all lessons are loaded at the moment since tuition mostly consist of attending live classes. For now the course is provided as a means to locate prescribed material and encourage students to comment and discuss in forums. For as long as students remain part of the community they have access to the online course and how value will be added with time. After that students who contribute to our ‘seeds of hope‘ donation campaign will have access to all the modules and courses they attended while studying.
