Prospective students

Prospective students and community members

Dear prospective student or community member we have the following groups on the website specially for interested persons. These are dedicated to learning more about the courses, programmes, or community groups at Coram Deo. Here you can interact with us and receive the latest (often first published) information on the courses or groups. There are existing information pages but these groups are intended for more interaction and questions. Note that clicking on these groups will first require that you register on the website (free). Thereafter, ‘request to join’ the group you are interested in.

Join this group if you are interested in joining our University of Pretoria accredited pastoral narrative therapy programme. Many join this programme to take a deep dive into their own life story or personal/work relationships in general, to become more equipped parents, teachers, managers, leaders, hair dressers, engineers. Other study this programme to become community workers or learn hope-collaboration skills. Others study towards becoming professional counsellors.

There is an annual intake. Enrolment opens in September for the following year.

Practitioner supervision for helping professions

This group is aimed at any person in a professional-helping role. It is often joined by our students who completed their foundational training via the two-year pastoral narrative therapy programme. It can also be joined by coaches, psychologists, teachers, leaders and a wide variety of professions. The focus is on wanting to put your skills into practice (whether you are earning money from consultation or simply want to hone your skills as a pastoral narrative practitioner in a variety of settings. Students can opt to do the full programme with CPD courses or only supervision.

Continued professional development

The continued professional development track can be taken separate to the practitioner supervision programme. This is ideal for practitioner coming from a pastoral background.

Interested persons may join the same group as for the supervision programme. However, the standard information page is different.
