Student dashboard first years
This dashboard will be updated on an ad hoc basis. It is important for students to check in every now and then.
Attendance register
Dear student. It is really important that you fill out the attendance register. One can fill it out even days afterwards. Try to remember at least to complete it for all classes attended before the end of any given month.

Class schedule
Find below the class schedule for the year. At times lecturers may well need to change. There is a column for first years as well as second years. The meaning of the module abbreviations as well as what the outcome of each module is can be seen in the student manual. The schedule simply helps students locate where they are in the curriculum. Note that the date always start on a Monday but that is just to locate the week we’re in. The various groups have class on different days. Important: We try not to schedule class during weeks where there is a public holiday (in order to keep the groups in-sync. Unfortunately there are weeks (marked in red outline) where all groups will have class regardless of a public holiday somewhere during the week.

Books to purchase
The only books that we ask students to purchase are these, because we use so much of it that it would not be fair to the authors otherwise. Other material consist of part of books, articles and more that students are not required to purchase. We do ask students to reserve a literature rights fee of R200 per year that should be available on request.
The below links are from Amazon but students don’t have to acquire them from Amazon. Right-click on them and choose open in a new tab.
Groups to join
Generally students can search for (in the group section of the main menu) any ‘interest group’ and request to join those groups. We don’t list the interest groups here but the following groups are important for your year group to join.
Class groups
The description 23PNT1 stands for 2023, Pastoral Narrative Therapy, 1st year. Please join the year-group as well as your class group. Class groups function very much like WhatsApp groups. It is only for your class and you can even host forum discussion there that only your class will see.

Modules
Every module also has a group on this website. We will, all the more, start to use the respective groups to provide the links to recordings and other relevant material. We currently share this mostly in the year or class groups. Every module (group) will have a course section where students can return to, to find all the links in one place. We will start to do this in March.
This is the group for your current module
